September 25th 9:30-12:30 at Minato Libra: Being Prepared for Medical Emergencies

Do you feel anxious about how to use the Japanese health care system? How do you access the health services you need when you don’t understand how the system works and you don’t speak the language? Do you know how to call the Emergency Services?

Our three hour course will explain how the healthcare system works and how to utilize various services.
Learn the basic and most essential words used in a medical emergency. We’ll also share the contact details for services developed for non-Japanese speakers which can help you in an emergency.

The course will cover essentials around:

  • Understanding how to use the Japanese healthcare system
  • Learning how to access health services with no/little Japanese
  • Learning how to call the ambulance in Japan
  • Basic CPR and AED Training

The Tokyo Fire Department will lead CPR and AED training.

Fee: 1,000 yen (pay on the day)
Venue: Libra (Minato-ku Gender Equality Center) Minato Park Shibaura, 1-16-1 Shibaura Minato-ku, Tokyo
Maximum Number of Participants: 30 (Registrations on a first-come, first-serve basis)
